Late last week we learned that Kyle's employer decided to cut the schedules of all salary employees by one day, meaning he is now only being paid for four days a week instead of five ... effective this week. Normally we would not even share this sort of thing with others, but it has significantly impacted us at an very bad time. Additionally, we learned yesterday that we have now have an additional and substantial cost related to our adoption that was completely unexpected.
A few of you have indicated a desire to help us directly. So, in our final fundraising effort, we have created the below donation button. For anyone who does not wish to use paypal, our mailing address can be found at the top of this blog. I personally hang my head low, as it is not my personality to accept from others. Typically, I find myself to be the one that gives to others. Alas, for Addison's sake, I must set my pride aside and accept your incredible support ... I am truly humbled by all of you.

I am a friend of Shay and Jeremy's from high school...well Shay and I played tee-ball together about 20 years ago...anyhow...I can't tell you how happy I am for you and your whole family. You two are very special people!! Best of luck in your travels!!

I'm not sure if you and I ever met directly, but I used to run softball tournaments when Kyle, Shea & the boys played in N'Tieractive. I think Kyle may have been the one that broke his ankle at home plate?
I digress... through Jodi's blog I found your blog... and am fascinated with the efforts of not only adopting this beautiful little girl, but also bringing the awareness that you have by sharing your story.
Although sadly at this time I cannot donate much, I wasn't sure if you ever needed Russian interpretation or even additional phrases to use. I work with a gentleman from Russia and have even shared your story with him.
I live in New Jersey now, so also if there is anything I can do in the future for fundraising I certainly can help. I am running tournaments up here now as well.
Anyway... just wanted to send my love, prayers, thoughts and hopes to you and your entire family. You are both incredible parents and I think it truly takes a special person to take on any child with special needs. By your efforts you are taking away much of the stigma that has been attached to this cause.
