We agree!

Today we officially signed our referral papers, meaning we "agree" to pursue the adoption of Veronika. That is how it legally works. So ... in case you haven't had a chance to get acquainted ... meet the soon-to-be newest member of our family ... Addison Veronika!

Our appointment with the Ministry of Education

This morning we had our appointment with the Ministry of Education to get our official referral. We were given a referral for a little girl who is almost 10 months younger than Payton. Ironically, my sister, Kristie, and I are 10 months apart too ... and we have always loved each other very much, right Kris? ;) Anyway, back to the topic at hand ... the girl's name is Veronika and she has Down syndrome, as we requested. We also got some other basic medical information about her, but we were not allowed to ask questions ... those were to be asked of the doctor, social worker and baby home director once we got to the baby home.
