I think we have only found two things Nika does not like so far ... egg yolk (but she likes egg whites) and tortellini ... I'm not sure if it was the tortellini or the spaghetti sauce that she didn't like. Anyway ... I videotaped her eating chicken noodle soup. LOL. Sounds crazy, but whatever ... she is my only kid that will eat chicken noodle soup, so I was proud. Plus, I think she has pretty good oral motor skills for a kid with Down syndrome that has never had OT or ST in her life. :) And ... not only that ... she is signing "more" already! Such a smart cookie, she is!

Wowo Nika is doing great, but I have to say, my heart felt so sad for Payton, hearing her call for you. it must be hard for her to understand, suddenly having a sister, and taking your mum away from you. Aden doesn’t like me touching or talking to other baby’s. you certainly have your hands full.
That was Mason asking me to change the channel .. it wasn't Payton needing me for something. No worries ... there is enough of mom and dad to go around! :)
I love it!! I can't believe how well she's doing!! I want to get my paws on her and give her a big hug!!
That is AWESOME!!! Angela still can't eat soups like that. She can't do both..control the solid AND liquid at the same time. Nika is just doing amazing! And, having Nika there taking your attention is no different than if you had a new baby. The kids adjust amazingly fast, and in a couple weeks they won't remember a time she wasn't with you. HUGS!
